The tomato paste factory is considered to be the first and only factory in Saudi Arabia, which produces tomato paste, using the hot break process and with cold break process. The factory capacity reaches (750 TONS) of tomato a day. The amount of tomatoes needed for operation is produced from the agricultural sector of the project. The produce is packed into aseptic bags with a capacity of (200 KG) and is marketed through Watania factories in the kingdom for producing tomato paste, ketchup and tomato juice. Its new state-of-the-art tomato paste factory in Al Jouf produces the finest quality tomato paste equal to the best tomato paste in the world. The tomatoes are planted by the direct seeding method, and are harvested mechanically, because the company believes in the importance of delivering modern technology and its application. The company has adopted planting tomatoes by saplings on an area of 700 hectares because it saves time, has a higher level of production, less seeds, uses less water and can resist hard weather conditions while continuing to give more produce for a long period of time to supply the tomato paste company which works with a capacity if 750 tons per day.
