The National Food Factory was established in 1972. It produces all types of long-lasting juices and presents them in attractive packaging with its artful designs such as (TetraPak), aluminum bottles, glass bottles and plastic bottles of various sizes. It also produces a wide range of juices and drinks with high nutritional values prepared from natural fruit concentrates and other elite food ingredients. Al Waha Food Factory consider as one of the most important producers of tomato paste in the Kingdom. The factory constantly introduces new products in both local and regional markets. Each stage of production in the factory is accurately controlled by the factory’s quality control laboratory, which includes a highly qualified team with long experience in applying international quality standards. In 2006, the factory received the GMP certificate from the Ministry of Health for its keenness to adopt the highest quality standards. Al Waha Food Factory applies the latest ISO systems for food processing (FSMS / HACCP ISO 22000ـ 2005). It is a global system for the management of the safety and suitability of food products. The first dairy factory in the Kingdom was established in 1996. It is specialized in the manufacture of dairy products from goat and sheep milk in 1996 (soft cheese, labaneh, yoghurt, whole and low-fat milk, whole and low-fat pasteurized milk, buttermilk, cream, butter, jams, cheese, and Akkawi cheese). In 2000, The company started packing camel’s milk pasteurized in an industrial form, distributing it to Al Watania exhibitions in different sizes. In 2005, manufacturing the organic flour products were started in Al Watania Agriculture Mill from the organic wheat, which are from Al Watania, in order to cover the demands of the local market of white flour, brown flour, grit, pasta, semolina and pastry of different sizes. The seed processing unit has been installed, so that wheat and barley are prepared locally and not imported from abroad.
