Al-Jouf Project

الوطنية Al-Jouf Project is one of the massive projects in Al-Jouf region in northern Saudi Arabia, specializing in agricultural and animal production, as well as food processing. It covers an area of 30,000 hectares.

Agriculture Production

Al Watania Agriculture Company in Al-Jouf is one of the pioneering agricultural projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In the late 1980s, the company was among the first to cultivate traditional olive trees. It now possesses 350,000 traditional olive trees, which produce some of the finest organic extra virgin olive oil. In 2006, the project was also a pioneer in planting high-density olive groves. The company currently manages 3.5 million high-density olive trees, with plans to double that number. The Company produces over 3 million liters of organic extra virgin olive oil annually from its Al-Jouf location, making it one of the largest and earliest olive producers in the Kingdom. Additionally, Al Watania Agriculture Company project in Al-Jouf cultivates processing tomatoes across more than 1,300 hectares annually, utilizing a drip irrigation system. This makes it one of the largest open-field processing tomato projects in the Middle East and the sole producer of processing tomatoes in the Kingdom. The project also includes 8,500 Barhi date palms, which are among the highest-quality date varieties. The project intends to resume potato cultivation and reclaim its position as one of the largest potato producers in the Kingdom, supplying both processing and table varieties. By growing a specified quantity of wheat annually for the General Food Security Authority, the project contributes to enhancing Saudi Arabia's food security. Furthermore, Al Watania Agriculture Company project in Al-Jouf includes over 250,000 diverse fruit trees (peach, apricot, grape, almond, and apple), which help fill a significant gap in the domestic production of these agricultural products.

Livestock Production

One of the largest sheep breeding and production projects in the Kingdom is the Al-Jouf Sheep Project. It houses more than 35,000 head of Pure Naimi Sheep for red meat production, in addition to 2,500 goats and 450 camels for milk and red meat production.

Food Processing

Al Watania Agriculture Company project in Al-Jouf is considered one of the largest agricultural ventures in the food processing industry. It includes a factory for processing camel and goat milk and their derivatives, as well as a complex for producing and bottling extra virgin organic olive oil from its farms in Al-Jouf . Al Watania Agriculture Company also established a tomato paste factory, which is currently the only one in the Kingdom to produce tomato concentrate annually. Additionally, there are factories for juices and jams to process cultivated fruit on Al Watania's farms in Al-Jouf .

Watania: Where quality meets excellence in food manufacturing

AL WATANIA TOMATO CONCENTRATES FACTORY

Al-Watania Agricultural Company has established a tomato concentrate factory, which is currently the only facility of its kind in the Kingdom dedicated to the annual production of tomato concentrates.

Al-Watania is recognized as the first company in Saudi Arabia to cultivate and produce industrial tomatoes, a practice it has sustained for over 25 years across various cultivated areas. By the grace of Allah, the company has now reached a cultivation area of 1,400 hectares, producing approximately 12,000 tons of tomato concentrate annually.

The farms are irrigated using a drip irrigation system, representing the largest irrigated area under a single entity in the Middle East utilizing this technology.

Al-Watania Agricultural Company is also proud to export its tomato concentrates to several countries, in addition to supplying local companies that use its concentrates in their products, such as Fonte, Nada, Al Rai, Luna, Saudia, and Al Baraka.

AL WATANIA DAIRY FACTORY

Additionally, Al Watania Agriculture Company has a dairy factory to increase the variety and uniqueness of our products. Examples include healthy, fresh camel's milk, goat and sheep milk, as well as other dairy products (milk, yogurt, cheeses, jameed, ghee). Our animals are raised in the best environments and are given the highest quality locally available feed to boost their nutritional content and ensure the superior characteristics of their products.

AL WATANIA JAMS AND JUICES FACTORY

The Company's history in manufacturing jams and juices dates back to 1998, with the goal of producing organic juices and jams free from any additives that would compromise the product's organic integrity.

AL WATANIA OLIVE OIL FACTORY

Modern olive mills have been established to produce organic olive oil in accordance with international standards, with a production capacity that aligns with the annual quantities of olives harvested.

The annual production of olive oil at Al-Watania Agricultural Company has exceeded 2.5 million Liters. These continuous efforts have resulted in the company’s organic olive oil receiving numerous quality certifications, including the Italian “BIOL” certification for several consecutive years, recognizing it as one of the finest organic olive oils in the world.

Al-Watania Agricultural Company is also proud to bottle the olive oil products “Afia” and “Al-Wazir” at its olive farms and complex for the production of extra virgin olive oil located in the Al-Jouf region.

AL-QASSIM PROJECT

Al Watania Agriculture Company owns over 100,000 date palms, which produce a diverse range of dates in various forms and sizes to meet market demands.

Wadi Al-Dawasir Project

Located on an area of more than 13,000 hectares, the Al-Watania Agricultural Company owns over 10,000 palm trees through which a diverse range of dates is produced in various types and sizes to meet market demands.

 

AL-KHARJ PROJECT FOR HYDROPONICS

Al-Watania Agricultural Company focuses on cultivating fresh vegetables in its Al-Kharj Project using hydroponic and plastic agriculture technologies over an area of more than 120 hectares, with potential for expansion. The project adopts the latest global agricultural systems to achieve the company’s goal of increasing local vegetable production and enhancing the Kingdom’s food security stability.
